By now you will have heard all about the news connecting the name Westfield’s to Croydon. Westfield’s, due to it’s huge name, has taken the limelight in ‘what’s happening in Croydon’, but there is so much more going on. One of those things is Boxpark Croydon.
You have probably seen it, if you have been to East Croydon station recently, there is no way you will have missed it.
What is Boxpark?
According to Google:
Shipping container, pop-up mall for independent and global, fashion and lifestyle stores and cafes.
Which, and let’s be honest, sounds awesome. And, well, it really is. London’s first Boxpark was in Shoreditch, and if you say ‘Shoreditch’ to anyone under the age of 35, they will say ‘Boxpark’.
I see Boxpark venues like a collection of boutique shops. You won’t find them anywhere else (apart from the other Boxparks), and the simplicity of them is refreshing. They also create communities and a new type of movement in town. I think it will fit in perfectly in Croydon.
