It’s the end of an era for the shopping world – Westfield’s has been swallowed by France’s Unibail-Rodamco in an £18bn deal. £18bn. Wow.
Westfield’s is still going ahead with full force in Croydon, and according to my readings (here and here), Croydon will not be affected by this deal:
Westfield employed 523 people in the UK as of last December and is currently working on a new shopping centre in Croydon, south London, which is not expected to be threatened by the deal. – http://www.telegraph.co.uk/
My research has shown (while it’s still new news), is that property prices in Croydon will not be affected by this news.
